2002 Old Vines Cabernet Sauvignon - Unfiltered
Cabernet Sauvignon is slow to ripen and needs an exceptionally good
year to produce an exceptionally good wine. Fortunately, this was the
case in 2002. We ferment this wine at much lower temperatures than is
usual with hot climate cabernets and blend just enough Old Vines
Merlot, malbec and cabernet franc to round out this sumptuous wine. The
2002 OV Cabernet Sauvignon is round, lush and smooth across the palate
with flavors of tangy red currants, rich black cherries and creamy
raspberries. This Old Vines Cabernet will improve in the cellar for 15-20 years. 670 Cases |

2002 ‘Old Vines’ Merlot - Unfiltered -- NEW RELEASE Lenz
Old Vines Merlot is made from grapes grown in our oldest blocks,
planted more than 30 years ago. All Old Vines Merlots show
classic merlot dark-fruit characters of black plums, black cherries and
raspberries. And we only use the Old Vines designation for
exceptional vintages that exhibit great depth, complexity and aging
potential. These wines are special when we release them but they
will continue to improve in the cellar for 20 years.

2007 ‘Old Vines’ Chardonnay -- NEW RELEASE We
only make Lenz Old Vines Chardonnay in exceptional vintages, using
fruit from selected older vineyard lots. The Old Vines style is
intended to emphasize fruit intensity, balance and elegance. We
use very limited barrel fermentation and oak-aging tends to be
'neutral,' meaning we only use older barrels that allow the wine to
achieve greater complexity and flavor concentration but leave less of
an oak fingerprint on the wine. Old Vines Chardonnay is focused
on flavors of apple and pear with notes of fig. |

2002 Estate Selection Merlot -- NEW RELEASE Lenz
Estate Selection Merlot is made from ripe grapes harvested in mature
vineyards. The characteristic flavor profile is deep and rich,
full of black cherries and dark red plums, with plenty of
soft-and-supple tannins. The final blend is carefully assembled
from individual barrel lots as the wine ages -- usually 85-90% merlot
with some cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot blended in. The
wine is never filtered; nor is it fined. |

2004 Merlot Lenz
Merlot is a perfectly balanced everyday red wine. Well- rounded,
this rich merlot is packed with typical varietal notes of dark
plums, red cherries and black currants. Made to enjoy now, this
unfiltered wine has good tannin structure that will also allow it to
age for a few years.

2006 Cabernet Sauvignon -- NEW RELEASE Lenz
Cabernet Sauvignon is a great everyday wine. Lively and
well-balanced, this popular red wine has an alluring, perfumed nose and
soft, subtle tannins. Varietal notes of red cherry and cedar
round out its flavor profile. Made to enjoy now, this unfiltered
wine will also age well. |

2006 Gewürztraminer -- NEW RELEASE Lenz Gewürztraminer
is made in the dry style. It has an enticingly aromatic nose of
rose petals, tea and honeysuckle. Distinctive, zesty flavors
include lychee, musk melon and grapefruit with touches of pineapple.
The wine also has the well-known 'warm-spice' varietal
characteristics -- nutmeg and cinnamon -- ofgewürztraminer.

2005 Blanc de Noir Lenz
Blanc de Noir is a refreshingly dry wine, crafted in the same style as
its elegant French counterparts. Made entirely from the juice of
lightly pressed red pinot noir grapes, the wine shows off pinot flavors
of red and white cherries. This is a delightful wine that will
add sophistication to any table. |
 |

2006 White Label Chardonnay -- NEW RELEASE Lenz
White Label Chardonnay is cold-fermented to create a wine that is crisp
and dry with apple, pear and citrus flavor notes. The palate
tingles with refreshing acidity, a hint of minerality and just a touch
of oak. This is classic chardonnay -- with no unnecessary frills
-- a great wine that you can drink everyday.
 |
 |
2006 Gold Label Chardonnay Lenz
Gold Label Chardonnay is made from grapes grown on mature vines.
Their juice is then barrel fermented and aged in small French oak
barrels. The rich chardonnay flavors are then complemented by the
influence of the oak to create a well-integrated white wine with
comparatively full-bodied characteristics. The Gold Label is a
good food wine that can accompany many richer dishes that might
overpower a more delicate wine.

1994 Cuvée RD - SOLD OUT
Sparkling wines improve with age in the bottle before they undergo the
finishing steps that precede corking. But once these steps have been
taken they should - - like beer - - be drunk relatively soon. When we
sell out of a particular sparkling wine vintage, we usually hold back
60 or 70 cases to continue aging and improving in the bottle. We
recently sold out of the small quantity from the excellent and
well-aged 1993 vintage. The French refer to Champagnes made using this
'late-finishing' process as 'RD', or Récemment dégorgé (recently
disgorged). The 1994 is rich and sumptuous where the current-release
1999 is fresh and vibrant. Like RD wines in general, the 1994 has
certain nutty earthiness that comes with the process, overlaying the
original - - but muted - - fruit base of the wine
